Sweet Eddie is a lifetime supply of love and joy wrapped up in a tiny, portable package! This special little guy is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua that was born with congenital hydrocephalus “water on the brain”. He sometimes spins in circles, but we have had him evaluated by a neurologist at VCA West who ensures there is no reason he will not live a healthy and happy life. He has no idea he is different - he's playful, likes to go for walks, and just wants to snuggle and sleep in your arms.
He is a sweet puppy who is potty training using pee pads and going outside. Housebreaking can be a challenge with him when his symptoms flare up but during those time he wears a belly-band to keep his home clean. Eddie occasionally suffers from narcolepsy and it’s mostly when he’s playing. And since he will only weigh about 5 pounds when he is full-grown, he'll always be tiny enough to be the perfect fit! Eddie is an excellent traveling companion and quietly sits in his car seat for car rides. Eddie's ears perk up when he sees other dogs on TV and he loves trying to 'talk' to them! He's a big fan of animal-shaped toys (pint-sized, like him) and toys that have food hidden in them.
Eddie is a resilient pup that has conquered everything life has thrown at him without discouragement. Like a lot of animals he doesn’t like change and his symptoms can flare up when things are new or he’s overstimulated. He is a tiny pup with a BIG outlook on life, and ready to join the perfect family for the rest of his life! Because of his small size and fragile nature, we will only consider an adults-only home. Eddie is good with small to medium-sized dogs, both men and women as well as children. He loves playing with his foster doggie brother in his foster home. We have not cat tested him, but given his gentle nature, we predict he will be OK to live with cats. No large dogs please.
Meadow is a garden of cat colors. In feline genetics she is a "dilute calico” and her coat pattern is as unique as snowflakes. You'll never see another cat that looks exactly like her!
When The Rescue Train first spotted this jewel in a tiny package at the East Valley Animal Shelter, we thought we were looking at a tiny neglected kitten. It turned out that she is ten months old and is just a very SMALL cat.
Meadow is now a happy 4 pound kitty with a sweet personality. She loves to play with any kind of toy but her favorite is a stuffed mouse that she carries around in her mouth. Like most calico’s she’s super smart!
Stevie is such a DELIGHT! This darling dog is a 14 month old, well behaved Border Terrier and Miniature Schnauzer mix with an amazing personality and enough loyalty and love to last a lifetime. We rescued him from Orange County Animal Care and he’s now up for adoption on The Rescue Train in Los Angeles.
Stevie is easy going and very social in his foster home. He gets along great with humans and other young playful dogs. He’s housebroken and loves to go for walks. He’s a smart guy that would be fun do to obedience training with because he’s a fast learner and eager to please. He's got a big bark and can chase a ball like nobody’s business but when play time is over he wants to snuggle up and be a the little lover that he is. He is neutered, current on all vaccines and microchipped.
Stevie is a RAY of sunshine that you can adopt in the NICK of time.
