Sweet Eddie is a lifetime supply of love and joy wrapped up in a tiny, portable package! This special little guy is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua that was born with congenital hydrocephalus “water on the brain”. He sometimes spins in circles, but we have had him evaluated by a neurologist at VCA West who ensures there is no reason he will not live a healthy and happy life. He has no idea he is different - he's playful, likes to go for walks, and just wants to snuggle and sleep in your arms.
He is a sweet puppy who is potty training using pee pads and going outside. Housebreaking can be a challenge with him when his symptoms flare up but during those time he wears a belly-band to keep his home clean. Eddie occasionally suffers from narcolepsy and it’s mostly when he’s playing. And since he will only weigh about 5 pounds when he is full-grown, he'll always be tiny enough to be the perfect fit! Eddie is an excellent traveling companion and quietly sits in his car seat for car rides. Eddie's ears perk up when he sees other dogs on TV and he loves trying to 'talk' to them! He's a big fan of animal-shaped toys (pint-sized, like him) and toys that have food hidden in them.
Eddie is a resilient pup that has conquered everything life has thrown at him without discouragement. Like a lot of animals he doesn’t like change and his symptoms can flare up when things are new or he’s overstimulated. He is a tiny pup with a BIG outlook on life, and ready to join the perfect family for the rest of his life! Because of his small size and fragile nature, we will only consider an adults-only home. Eddie is good with small to medium-sized dogs, both men and women as well as children. He loves playing with his foster doggie brother in his foster home. We have not cat tested him, but given his gentle nature, we predict he will be OK to live with cats. No large dogs please.
Meet Vera – Tiny Tabby Girl! 2 months old
Baby Vera arrived at a local vet’s office tied up in a pillow case! Needless to say, she was pretty upset and scared! She has calmed down and learned to love sitting on laps, but she still gets startled easily. She’s always ready to play, though, and if you sit down with her, she’ll climb into your lap and give you a big purr. Because Vera is so young and active, we think she would do best in a home with another playful cat. Vera is FeLV-negative and up-to-date on her vaccinations.
Brando is ALL BOY!
He loves other dogs – he plays very well with both a Chihuahua and a Doberman in his foster home. For that reason, we believe Brando would do best placed in a home with a canine friend. He needs a young energetic dog that is ready and willing to play with him and be his best pal.
He would love an adult home or one with children over age 10.
Brando just had ONE LAST TANGO IN PARIS and is ready to come snuggle as you read him A BEDTIME STORY.
Brando is loving, cuddly, and a really sweet boy!
